This was taken on November 25, 2006 from the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge. I had to do almost no editing. It was just a really perfect, beautiful day!

Rainbow panorama

How often does one get to see a rainbow of this magnitude? Well, if you're me, you see them all the time. I seem to be blessed with rainbow-vision. I must have a dozen rainbows taken from nearly the same place over the last three years. This is one of my favorites.

When I come home from work, I normally dump everything on the dresser in my foyer. Today, instead of the usual clutter of DVDs, loose change, and keys, I left my shoes and my pearls. It struck me as being very pretty and girly, and a bit unusual for my foyer. I thought I should capture it while I had the chance.

With her purrrrty green eyes. I got a lot of shots of her on the black and white stool, but I think this was my favorite. I changed the saturation to make the picture mostly black and white, then I went back in and tweaked her eye color. She is my pretty girl!!

Nashville Sunrise

This is a reflection of the sunrise in the Bellsouth building in downtown Nashville, TN. I took this on September 25, 2004, from the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge. I think I'd like the picture more if the top of the building weren't cut off, but hey - it was early. My brain wasn't quite awake yet.

I took this picture two days before Valentine's Day, and I think it's my all-time favorite. Bodhi and Chloe, all snuggled up, in the shape of a heart! It's hard to come by precious moments like this.

In Bloom

I found this shot on my walk home from work in February of 2006. The weather had been unseasonably warm, which caused the trees to bloom early. I knew this wouldn't last, because we'd have at least one more frost which would kill off all the beautiful buds. It wasn't quite dark yet, but the moon was high in the sky, and was nicely framed by the branches of the tree. The photo looks peaceful, but don't let it fool you. It was taken in the heart of the city.

Light My World

I woke up at 6am one morning, to find a beautiful ray of sunlight coming in through the window. It hit my red vase and made for such a beautiful moment. I just had to try to capture it on film. Most of the set did not require any post-processing, as the colors were perfect as they were. I did a little editing on this photo, just to desaturate the background.
